Lots of mechanics can swap a module. Fewer can make it work after. A replacement ECM or PCM usually has to be set up for your exact car before it runs right, and a lot of people end up stuck waiting on the dealer just for that one step.
We bring that step to you. We use a J2534 pass-thru tool with the factory software to set up replacement ECMs, PCMs and other modules. After the swap we do the immobilizer relearn, so the car starts with the keys you already have.
A recent one
2012 Buick Regal with a failed ECM. We installed the replacement, programmed it with the J2534 tool, and ran the immobilizer relearn right there in the customer's driveway. No dealer trip needed.
We check it before you buy a module
Modules aren't cheap, and plenty of them get replaced when the real problem was a bad ground or a broken wire. Before we program anything, we test the circuit and make sure the module is really what failed. If it isn't, we'll tell you and fix what is.

Questions people ask
Do I have to go to the dealer to program a new ECM?
Not for most cars. With a J2534 pass-thru tool and the factory software, we can program many replacement modules on site.
Will my keys still work after a module swap?
That's what the immobilizer relearn is for. We do it after the swap so the car recognizes the keys you already have.
Can you tell me if my car can be programmed before you come out?
Yes. Text us the year, make and model and what's going on, and we'll tell you straight if it's something we can do on site.
What if the module isn't actually bad?
We test before we program. If the real problem is wiring, a ground or something else, we'll tell you and fix that instead.
